The Problem

There is a local music school in almost every town. That translates to a lot of competition. At first glance, many of them have the same offer, so as a customer, which one should I choose?

Paul’s problem was that he was not showing his target group why his music school was the best and how his customers could benefit from a free trial lesson.

The Film Concept

In order to appeal to young people in particular, we used bright colours for the explainer video and chose everyday scenarios. The hybrid style (real photos mixed with cartoons) is ideal for depicting everyday situations as realistically as possible.

This allows the viewer to immediately feel like they are part of the story and empathise with it. An essential part of the video is the music.

The sound is emphasised to highlight the different instruments.

In the hybrid style, cartoon figures are drawn over real pictures.

The Result

Paul uses his explainer video on social media and his website. This allows his target group to approach him directly.

Through paid Instagram ads alone, the video generates an additional 300 new requests for a free trial lesson each month. The majority of the students who sign up for a trial lesson go on to become paying customers.

The film shows that Paul’s music school also offers online lessons.
